Koh Chang
Koh Chang has remained relatively un-spoilt un-like some other main island destinations and for those of you who are seeking, tranquility and beauty this island might just be the one for you.
Some call it 'the last paradise island in South- East Asia', maybe its the Koh Chang Marine National Park which has been untouched by modernization yet is only four hours by road east of Bangkok.
Koh Chang lies within the province of Trat which borders Cambodia to the north and east while to the south, the Gulf of Thailand gives the area some outstanding beaches including Had Sai Khao (White Sand Beach).
Koh Chang is however Thailand’s second largest island after Phuket and part of the 42 island archipelago that forms Mu Koh Chang National Park. The island boast some exceptional small bays and wonderful beaches, most to be found on the Western side of the island.
Like most of Thailand’s islands there is a fantastic marine life and coral ranges for those ionto snorkeling and diving. For those more into trekking and exploring, Koh Chang has a vast selection virgin rain forest 70% in fact and a variety of natural streams, which in turn develop into lovely waterfalls that are worth venturing out to find and explore.
