Before You Go
Make sure that you have the following in order, before the Big Day
- A
valid 10 year passport
- Check that you have had all the correct Jabs/Inoculations (Ask your own doctor for advise)
- Email the Hotel/Resort, to remind them you are coming or if using one of our Thai2 agents do the same with them, its always good to communicate
- Take the correct amount of prescribed prescriptions, if going off the beaten track. Most cities and the larger islands in Thailand have excellent medical facilities and modern hospitals, should the unforeseen arise.
- If planning on staying longer than 30 days check your visa requirements before you go – Should your stay lapse 30 days, you can either pay a fine of 200 Baht per day (£3-US$6) or do what is known as a Visa run. Our Thai2 agents can advise you about these areas. See THai2Agents
- Make sure that you have the correct travel insurance and don’t overlook this area. See our Links page for some ideas
- Don’t forget the RINGS, we all forget the most obvious things sometimes.
- Travellers Cheques (US$ or £ Sterling ) are the best currency and they are easily cashed, either within the quality hotels, bureau de change or banks.
- If you are taking a Wedding dress with you, contact the airline you’re travelling with and ask if they have a compartment or place to hang it. Of course it can always be steamed or pressed on arrival in Thailand .
- Cancel the Milk and Papers and get a friend or neighbour round to water the plants………All the little things count as well you know.
